Applications
The 9400-16e is a high-performance three-mode HBA controller introduced by Broadcom (the original LSI), designed for enterprise servers that need high-density external storage connections. It adopts SAS3416 chip, provides 16 12Gb/s external channels, supports SAS/SATA/NVMe devices, only supports JBOD pass through mode, no cache design, suitable for storage environments that do not require RAID function but pursue high bandwidth and stability.

- Supports data transfer rates of 12, 6, and 3Gb/s SAS, as well as 6 and 3Gb/s SATA
- Up to 8 storage interface PCIe links. Each link supports up to 8.0 GT/s (PCIe Gen3) x4 or x2 link width per channel
- Compliant with SFF-9402 standard, connector pin allocation
- Compliant with SFF-8485 standard, SGPIO
- PCIe 3.1 Host Interface
- High port SAS/SATA/NVMe adapter suitable for direct high connectivity applications
