Mellanox MCX4421A-ACAN is a dual port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter card launched by Mellanox, a subsidiary of NVIDIA. This network card is based on the ConnectX-4 Lx EN network interface chip, supporting 1/10/25 Gb/s Ethernet transmission rate, using PCIe 3.0 × 8 interface and dual SFP28 ports, with hardware level I/O isolation, sub microsecond level latency, and 75 million data packets per second transmission performance. Its core functions include RDMA over RoCE, Ethernet stateless offloading engine, NVGRE/VXLAN/GENVE protocol hardware offloading, multi host technology (up to 4 independent hosts), and virtualization acceleration (SRIOV, VMware NetQueue), suitable for cloud computing, Web 2.0, and data storage platforms.
This product belongs to the Mellanox ConnectX series and achieves network performance acceleration through hardware offloading technology, supporting Ethernet protocol stacks. Its RDMA technology can achieve remote memory access with zero CPU involvement, while GPUDirect technology optimizes AI/ML computing efficiency. Since 2018, Mellanox network solutions have been applied to 200Gb/s data center network deployments of enterprises such as Huawei Cloud and Alibaba Cloud.
